N8 and I celebrated our seven-year anniversary last month. I can't believe that seven years ago I got married. I was such a young girl and knew so little about life, even though I wanted to believe I knew it all. As I reflected about the last seven years, I've thought about regrets, mistakes, disappointments, and sorrows. I've thought about huge leaps we've made in career, education, location, and communication. We've had many tears of joy, excitements, and adventures. And though it all, I've learned so much.
I was told once by a doctor that your cells go through a seven year cycle of developing, maturing, and dying. She said that in seven years, all your cells have changed and you don't have a single cell that you had seven years before. So basically, you are a completely different person than you were seven years ago. I don't know how accurate that is, but I do know I am a different person. I'm grateful for the experiences I've had that had made me who I am and have helped me love N8 the way I do. He is my best friend, my most trusted confidant, and the person I can goof off with the most.
We celebrated our anniversary by doing some of our favorite things. Our anniversary started out in the morning with us making waffles.

Then we drove to the Aquarium. We were able to watch them feed the sting rays. They were the most active sting rays we've ever seen. They had personalities almost like little puppies. They lived to be touched and would jump up and splash when they were excited. We were able to have some hands-on with some of the other creatures there as well.
This was the first time we visited the aquarium. It was so much fun! It was informative and we loved seeing a huge variety of animals.
Piranhas, turtles, Nemo, octopus, penguins, snakes, and crocodiles, just to name a few.
We worked up a huge appetite at the aquarium, so as soon as we were done we went and ate at the Rodizio Grill. MMMMM. . . . so good! I love the grilled pineapple. N8 loves the chicken heart.
With full tummies, we went to a baseball game. It was such a close and intense game, and our team won!!! Afterwards, they shot off fireworks. We wondered to ourselves how many people get fireworks on their anniversary. We felt pretty lucky.
Thanks, N8, for all the fun over the years and for being my hubby! I'm looking forward to the next seven years, all the new memories we will make, and all of the things we will learn together!
