A Day at the Lake - Blogged by JME

Back in August, shortly after N8 came home, my mom and dad took us on a little day trip to Bloomington Lake. It was such a nice trip and we really enjoyed the time we spent with my parents. The lake was beautiful but freezing cold! I'm not really sure about the details of Bloomington Lake. I've heard it is glazier water and that is why it is so cold. I've also heard it is a dormant volcano.

Aren't my parents so cute?!?

We brought our lunch up there with us and had a picnic in the parking lot, then hiked a little ways in to get to the actual lake. We sat and watched people cliff dive. It looked fun, but too cold for me. We did, however, take our shoes off and wade in the water a little bit.

It was really relaxing. While we were watching the cliff divers, I felt like I had something stinging me on the back of my arm. I thought it could be a wasp or bee, but it didn't hurt as bad as something like that. I got up and did a little 'freakout' dance, smacking the area that I felt the sting, right in front of N8 and my parents . . . and every other person up there. It was pretty embarrassing, but when I finally knocked the little insect off of me and saw what it was, I knew it was worth the dance.

Pretty creepy, huh?! It gives me the heebee geebees just looking at it.

On our way home, we stopped at Bear Lake and N8 and I got a famous Bear Lake raspberry shake. It was delicious! It was a really nice trip and we really enjoyed spending time with my parents.
