Update on 5k Foam Fest- Blogged by N8

I FINALLY have all the information about the 5k Foam Fest!

It will be taking place on the 3rd and 4th of August  just off 24th street in O-Town.  Our race starts at 6:00pm on the 3rd (Friday), but be there an hour early to get your registration info and race packet.

We have started putting a team together.  If you choose to register, let me know so that I can give you our team name and registration info.  A portion of our race fee is being donated to the “Hope for the Warriors” charity.  This is a charity that really holds a special place in my heart.  We have decided that because of the charity and the nature of our race team that an item of camouflage be worn to distinguish us from the other runners and teams.

Race fee is $40.00 plus a processing fee.  When you check out, there should be a promo code box.  The promo code “facefoam” will give you a 5 dollar discount.  The fee for the race goes up to $45.00 after May 5th.

Go to http://www.5kfoamfest.com for more info and details about the race.

Please let all your friends and family know about this race.  It is the most fun I have ever had in a 5k!

Calling All Runners - Blogged by JME and N8

Last September, N8 ran in the 5K Foam Fest and had a great time.  The 5K Foam Fest is a race/obstacle course.  Most of the obstacles have something to do with foam, and lots of it (hence the name 'Foam Fest').

He is putting a team together for this year's race which takes place on August 3rd at 5 pm and would love to have you join him.  Here is a glimpse of what you can expect.

These are some of our own pictures from N8's experience running in this race last year.

This is the start/finish line of the race. They fill the whole area with foam to get you started and it is really fun to run through it at the end also.

Ready . . . Set . . . Go!

Crawling under barbed wire while getting sprayed with sprinklers.

How good is your balance? You have to run through a slippery wet balance beam course.

You get a nice view of the lake while running.

Not only do you get a good view of the lake, you also get a nice close up.

You get an even better close up if you ditch the tires and decide to swim.

Don't worry about dirty lake water. There is plenty of foam to clean you up.

There is even a "human car wash."

Squeaky clean!

Next is the biggest slip n' slide you've ever seen.

Phew! Conquered that one.
If you are interested in running this race with N8 this year, please contact N8 or JME so we can help you get registered to be a part of the team. We will have the team name and registration info by the second weekend in March.  Whether you are an Olympic athlete and run marathons twice a year or a couch potato, we want you to come join us for a great time!
